Welcome to Small Heath Medical Practice
Here To Help With Your Health
Small Heath Medical Practice is a long established, teaching practice serving a dynamic and diverse population. We are committed to providing high quality medical services in a caring and happy environment for all patients, staff and visitors.
The NHS is well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases and has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.
Check the online symptoms tracker at https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 and at nhs.uk for advice on your travel and contact history and the latest COVID-19 information before attending the practice.
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.

Wheelchair access to the building is via a ramp near the front entrance. All patient services are provided at ground floor level. There is also access to a low-level counter at the reception desk. Disabled WC is provided.
If you or the person you care for has a need which may cause difficulty waiting in the waiting room, please let us know. We can make arrangements to make waiting more comfortable or advise when the waiting time is likely to be shorter.
If access proves difficult for any of our disabled patients, we are happy to consider any suggestions.
In order to tackle the spread of Coronavirus please do not come to the surgery unless instructed to do so.
Prescriptions can be ordered on line and sent to the pharmacy electronically.
You can request access to on-line services on the webite.
Our phone lines are open until 6.30pm. The lines are much quieter after 10am so calling after this time will reduce your call waiting time. Also as a reminder; appointments can be booked through out the day.
**Important Patient Reminder**
ALL patients who reach the age of 11; registered for patient online access will have their accounts automatically closed. The reasoning behind this ? - An 11 year old can make an independent informed decision and they should be actively involved in decisions about who can access their information. For further information you can visit
or alternatively please contact reception.
